Wedding Band Style Guide

Wedding season is quickly approaching. It is never too early to start thinking about wedding bands! Ladies, this may be a hard one for you. You’ve worn your engagement ring alone for a while and putting a band next to it makes it look completely different. Or, you might be a girl who has been dreaming of her wedding band ever since he put that ring on your finger. So, what’s a girl to do? Luckily you have a lot of options when it comes to styling your band.

Matched Set

A lot of women want their rings to match. This is one of the most popular options when looking for wedding bands. A matched set allows your wedding band to look exactly like your engagement ring, making it a more traditional choice.  It also brings focus to the center stone.

Mismatched Set

The mismatched set has taken the Pinterest world by storm. A mismatched set puts a little spin on the traditional matched set and allows a woman to experiment with a band that suites her style best. My personal favorite is pairing a traditional engagement ring with a vintage style wedding band. The contrast allows the viewer to see a distinct difference between the engagement ring and the band.

Stand-Alone Band

Another option for a wedding band and probably one we see least often is wearing a band without your engagement ring. Many women will wear this type of band on their right hand or in place of their engagement ring on their left. These types of wedding bands tends to be statement rings as they are worn alone, often with a wider band, larger stones or more elaborate detail.

No Wedding Band

Yes, it’s a thing! Many women will opt to just wear their engagement ring. Why? Well, many engagement rings are now more elaborate and wide than they once were. Many women don’t like the look of adding a band with their engagement ring, thinking it takes away from the look of the ring.

So, which option would you choose?
